Spring is here.  I am so happy.  I know we will still have scattered showers but sunshine is making me want to freshen up my decor and add touches of Spring.sunshine is making me want to freshen up my decor and add touches of Spring.

Your decor for Spring should be something you won’t tire of from March to May.  I like to decorate for Spring with small touches of Easter.  That way if I get tired of the Easter decorations I can just remove them without having to redo everything or make them so subtle it doesn’t bother me.

Here are a couple of ideas I came up with at The White Barn.

First, always add greenery.  It just brightens things up.  Magnolias are so popular right now, thank you, Joanna Gaines.  I love the simple look. I tried so hard to not be in the picture but apparently failed.  So on the mantel, I just added magnolia leaves, a small nest and bird, and bunny statuary, which will be my touch of Easter. The White BarnAdd moss spheres (balls) to little white vases, urns, or bowl. The White BarnA Pinterest example of greenery and moss spheres.

Add a Spring or Easter banner and you are done.  The White BarnRemember a couple of posts ago I showed you how to make glittered eggs?  Well, I set them at the place setting at the shop and they looked so cute.  Just another idea for your Easter dinner. The White BarnThe White BarnI love nests and birds.  I especially love when I find real nests.  Put it under a pretty dome or cloche and you have the perfect Spring decor.  This works through Summer as well. The White BarnYou can add a faux chocolate bunny under a dome with a nest and dried hydrangeas.  It makes a great centerpiece. The White BarnAn example from Pinterest

My favorite touch of Spring is adding fresh almond blossom branches to something rusty or chippy white.
